About the Project

I architected and maintained the backend infrastructure for HIA Topics, the core patient-facing platform serving 93k+ user sessions with 99.9%+ uptime. This system delivers interactive, voice-enabled educational presentations where patients can ask real-time questions and receive answers curated by their physicians. I built the comprehensive backend handling content delivery, AI integration with vector search and semantic similarity, user session management, and detailed analytics. The platform integrates 35+ external services including Azure Cognitive Services, Pinecone vector database, and multiple AI/ML platforms, ensuring accurate and safe patient education while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance.
