I architected and maintained the backend infrastructure for HIA Topics, the core patient-facing platform, with 99.9%+ uptime over six years. It delivers interactive, voice-enabled educational presentations with physician-authored content. I built the production backend for content delivery, user session management, and integrations across SQL Server, Cosmos DB, Azure services, and voice/ML providers. I personally designed and implemented most iterations of its detailed Cosmos DB-backed session analytics, and spent substantial time debugging cross-system issues in its Pinecone-backed retrieval flow and supporting API. The broader product supported real-time patient questions and physician-curated answers while maintaining strict HIPAA security controls.
