HIA Studio is the authoring side of the healthcare platform — the system providers use to create, manage, and deploy interactive patient education presentations with AI-powered Q&A capabilities. I designed its original backend architecture; after the initial development team departed, a colleague and I took the system over, refactored it extensively, and ran it from then on. The editor kept its own CosmosDB content store with versioning and published through an Azure Functions pipeline into the SQL-backed delivery backend I built and led — all within the platform's HIPAA-compliant, multi-tenant security framework, serving clients ranging from solo practices to WebMD.
